This headline is like a name generator except instead of generating names it generated headlines relevant to my specific interests. That’s right, Vampire Weekend have just unveiled the music video for their track ‘Sunflower’ and in traditional Vampire Weekend fashion, it’s a pop culture banquet.

The clip is directed by Jonah Hill, who recently stepped behind the camera. Last year, Hill made his directorial debut with the coming-of-age skate drama mid90s.

The music video follows Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend and Steve Lacy of The Internet as they make their way through New York’s Upper West Side, exploring the cities landmarks. At one point, the duo bump into comedian Jerry Seinfeld and artist Fab 5 Freddy. They kind of do nothing but it’s gorgeous. Reminiscent to all those scenes in The Sopranos where they’re seen hanging out at various delis, Marone!

It’s almost as good as that video clip they did that was just Joe Jonas playing tennis in a white room, but not quite. Check it out below.

Vampire Weekend’s forthcoming record Father Of The Bride, is set for release on May 3rd 2019. It is their first full-length record since 2013’s Modern Vampires of the City.

Back in January, the band announced that they would be releasing two tracks from the album every month until it is released. So far we’ve had a taste of what’s to come with songs ‘Harmony Hall’, ‘2021’, ‘Sunflower’, and ‘Big Blue. It was revealed that Father Of The Bride, boasts a tracklist of eighteen songs and runs for just under one hour.

The band headlined Splendour In The Grass last year, but their last Australian tour was in 2014. It’s safe to say that they’re long overdue to return.
