Young Victorian music industry die-hards – it’s your time. The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne are calling out for talented industry lovers. They’re keen to find those who’d love some hands-on industry experience through their New Slang program.
Commencing in March, the program’s twelve lucky participants get to learn how to put on shows and work in the Australian contemporary music industry over the space of nine months.
“You’ll gain hands on experience across a range of areas including stage management, technical and sound production, promotions and marketing, video editing and production, photography, artist liaison and bookings.”
New Slang is a live all-ages music series co-presented by The Push and Arts Centre Melbourne. Its intimate and exclusive events showcase both touring and local artists to Melbourne’s all ages audiences. Not only will participants work across these New Slang shows, but they’ll also have the chance to curate and work on a large scale event in November in Melbourne’s CBD.
Applications are now open, but close on March 1, 2019. NOTE: Participants must be aged between 15-17 and residing in Victoria. Video/teleconference is available for rural and regional members. Apply here.
