One of this countries finest pop talents, Wafia, is playing a free show at Palings this Friday night. She’s just wrapped up a national tour but we just can’t get enough of her delectable pop stylings. The Palings free shows are a first-come, first-serve affair. We recommend buzzing it down to the venue early and indulging in an after-work Pimm’s jug with your friends.

Merivale is hosting a bunch of excellent free gigs over the next few months to encourage Sydneysiders to embrae the vibrancy of this city. The hospitality heroes are hosting a programme of free live music, laneway pop-ups, late-night bites and exciting initiatives throughout the CBD. Check out a bunch of delicious gigs that they’ll be hosting this month that’ll help make our summer forever dreams a reality.

Over the course of her career, Wafia has finessed her craft for thoughtful, sociopolitical songwriting. Her songwriting is masterful and personal, and so painfully relatable.  It’s that sheer relatability that has won her over legions of devoted fans, including Pharrell Williams, FINNEAS and Tak-Ku.

Wafia and FINNEAS previously collaborated on her EP track ‘The Ending’, which features backing vocals from none other than pop-wunderkind Billie Eilish.

2019 saw Wafia release two corker singles, ‘Hurts’ and ‘Flowers & Superpowers’. The latter, an absolutely bonkers ode to eating too many edibles and becoming an embarrassing version of yourself.
