If you’ve ever wondered what a battalion ready to march into the fiery depths of hell would sound like, 1,000 musicians known as Rockin’ 1000 have gathered to show you, as they all play Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the Name’ at the same time, in a glorious flame of fury.
Your senses are not quite ready to be overloaded like this, with 1,000 guitarists and vocalists all shouting the burning lyrics to Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the Name’, nothing is more glorious. This rock-and-roll stunt is the latest from Rockin’ 1000, the alleged “Biggest Rock Band on Earth.”
You might recall where you have heard of such a stunt before, as the overwhelming group pulled a similar performance to Foo Fighters’ ‘Learn to Fly’. However at that time, the entire point of the video was designed to bring the Foo Fighters over to Cesana, Italy, where Rockin’ 1000 is based. Since then, the power-crew have tackled songs by artists such as Nirvana, AC/DC, the White Stripes and so much more. The most glorious thing about these videos has to the conductor, who returns every time to direct the masses.
And yes, the absolutely enormous group’s ‘Learn to Fly’ gambit in 2015 actually worked. Foo Fighters did actually notice the video, and performed in Cesena on November 3 of that year, opening their set with none other than ‘Learn to Fly.’ It’s incredible what 1,000 people with guitars in a large space can accomplish.

“This is what happened on July 7th in Frankfurt,” Rockin’ 1000 revealed to Twitter. In the post they wrote:
“1000 musicians from all over the world working their ass off to celebrate this magnificent hymn to rebellion by Rage Against the Machine. This is their video. And we’re damn proud! Thank you.”
