This is well and truly the golden age of Slipknot covers my people. Perhaps the release of We Are Not Your Kind has stirred such a palpable reaction from fans that they feel the need to exert themselves through covering the band’s monolithic tunes.

Yesterday, 14-year-old Maren Alford made headlines globally after she dropped a ferocious cover of We Are Not Your Kind single ‘Unsainted.’

Now, another Slipknot cover is making the rounds. Youtuber SugarCello has released a haunting cello cover of .5 The Gray Chapter track ‘Devil In I’. This isn’t some half-baked cover either, no, the cellist has gone the extra mile and released a video that sees him glad in frontman Corey Taylor and percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan’s signature garb.

It’s a visual and aural feast, check it out below.

Slipknot will be heading down under later this year. The band are jumping on the Australian leg of Metallica’s monumental WorldWired tour. You can check out tour dates and ticket information below.

Earlier today, Slipknot fans questions were finally answered when comedian Gilbert Gottfried revealed himself as the newest band member of The Knot ‘Tortilla Man.’

“I’d just like to finally tell you I’m Tortilla Man from the band Slipknot,” Gottfried shared in a Cameo video.

Whilst we’re almost definitely sure that Gottfried hasn’t given up his day job to pursue the fine art of rocking out, at this point in time if you told us Pope Francis was the mystery member, we’d probably believe you.
