Courtney Love is currently in Australia for her first-ever headline tour of the country under her own name, and having stirred up some controversy by discussing blowing millions of “Nirvana money” on the eve of her visit, she’s making headlines again – this time due to the poor behaviour of a ‘fan’ at her Adelaide performance.
Love halted her performance at Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on Friday night after somebody in the crowd thought it’d be a good idea to pelt a beer can at the grunge heiress. Love responded with a lesson in tongue-lashing straight from the school of Josh Homme.
“In 20 years no one has thrown a beer can at me except for you fucker!” raged Love, who according to the Adelaide Advertiser was just two songs into her 90 minute set when the projectile was thrown.
“Your weenie must be this fucking big,” Love gestured before continuing, “You wanna go back? You wanna fucking fuck me up? ‘Cause I will sock you in the fucking jaw! Do not do it again!”

Rather than abandon her set (*cough* Azealia Banks), the 50-year-old musician instead persisted with the show – after threatening the “bullying shitbag.”
“Throw a beer can at my [band], I will fucking kill you,” she said, as revealed. “Throw it at me next time. We’ll have fun.”
Love’s Adelaide show followed on from her opening date, at Perth’s Metro City, and was followed by a headline performance at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Saturday night, where “she came, we saw, she kicked Melbourne’s ass and even though it wasn’t perfect, that’s rock n roll.” – according to our Tone Deaf reviewer.

From her ramblings on stage to her punk rock attitude, she simply lights up the stage and embraces every cliché that goes with rock-stardom and not a single fuck is given.
