On face value, Death Cab and Soundgarden would appear to have very little in common, but both are Washington bands who shifted styles throughout their careers, and often wrote depressing, lyrically-heavy songs.

The band paid tribute to Cornell recently at a Seattle benefit show to support the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. They covered Soundgarden’s ‘Fell On Black Days’ from their breakthrough album, 1994’s Superunknown.
