Although Dave Grohl likes to say each new Fooeys album is bigger, better, and heavier than the last, it would appear from the songs we have heard from the forthcoming Concrete and Gold, that this new album is going to be fairly great, and to be honest a lot of it sounds like their late ’90s output – which we certainly aren’t complaining about.

‘Dirty Water’ is a mid-tempo Foo Fighters ballad, much in the vein of the slower songs from the band’s second album The Colour and the Shape. Of course it kicks into a massive part at the end, too, because that’s the Foo-move.

Listen to the band debut the new song live in Paris, below. Concrete and Gold will be out September, and the Foo Fighters will be in Australia not too long after that. (Act surprised when it’s announced.)
