King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will be taking to the stages of Fuji Rock at 3:50pm AEST. On account of technology and science magic, you can watch the performance live and in its entirety below.

All the glitz and glam from this year’s Fuji Rock festival has been made available for consumption via correspondence which will either help your FOMO or make it worse, it’s hard to say at this point but there’s really only one way to find out. One things for sure, anyone who is experiencing feelings of loss or grief post-Splendour can get a cheeky fix of the action they’re missing, albeit from far-flung stages.

Today will see live streamed performances from The Lumineers, Gary Clark Jr and Tycho, who was only just here, and of course beloved home-grown savants King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

The Australian flavour won’t stop there either. On Saturday, you’ll be able to stream a performance from Courtney Barnette. The Saturday schedule also includes Death Cab For Cutie and on Sunday you’ll be able to catch pure sonic alchemists Hiatus Kaiyote and the inimitable Stella Donnelly.

For now, King Giz have your Friday arvo entertainment / distraction from work absolutely sorted.

The band are proving unstoppable at the moment. Then again, can you remember a time that they weren’t? This year the small crowd that makes up the band dropped their latest album Fishing For Fishies which has gone on to win over hearts and minds all throughout the world, even creeping its way up the US album charts.

King Giz spend much of June and July servicing their Australian fans with a run of headline dates in support of the release. Now, like some sort of ungodly beast they’re taking over the whole friggin planet.

You can check out the performance below via Fuji Rock Channel 2. There is a Channel 1 which will also be well worth your time. It’s not like any of us had plans to leave the house this weekend.
