You may know One Day as the group of high-school mates who together built an Aussie music empire or perhaps you’ve heard of the group’s members, a roster that includes Horrorshow, Spit Syndicate, Jackie Onassis, and Joyride.

But did you know that the collective’s humble beginnings all started with an unforgettable audition on long-gone Australian reality singing show Australian Idol? Yes, the same program that gave us the likes of Shannon Noll also blessed us with the One Day crew.

The group recently shared footage of their audition, which saw Joyride’s angelic rendering of ‘Mad World’ warm the hearts of judges Mark Holden and Marcia Hines, via their official Facebook page to promote their upcoming One Day Sundays parties.

As rapper and triple j host Hau Latukefu explains at the beginning of the clip, whilst you’re probably used to seeing One Day cruising in their Maybachs, donning gold chains, and enjoying champagne and caviar, this clip is a reminder that everyone had to start from the bottom.

I bet you didn't know this about One Day, did you? Watch till the end.NEXT PARTIES:PERTH: March 27th – FREEEvent…
