I’m sure by now you’ve heard that Astroworld Festival, headlined by Travis Scott, was an absolutely wild affair. Turns out from its very beginning it hit the ground running, almost literally.

Three fans were injured in a stampede during the opening day (Nov. 9) of Travis Scott’s second annual Astroworld Festival in Houston, and someone managed to nab the footage of the wild occurrence.

The city’s fire department has officially confirmed that three people were transported to Memorial Hermann with leg injuries after being trampled by others entering NRG Park.

Scott posted the stampede video to his Instagram of wildly anxious fans tearing down the guard rails and storming towards the festival grounds in a fury.

“DA YOUTH DEM CONTROL THE FREQUENCY. EVERYONE HAVE FUN. RAGERS SET TONE WHEN I COME OUT TONIGHT. BE SAFE RAGE HARD. AHHHHHHHHHHH,” the rapper wrote below the clip.

This year’s Astroworld Festival – which was expected to draw in about 50,000 people – included performances by Scott, Migos, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, Pharrell, Marilyn Manson, Megan Thee Stallion, Playboi Carti, DaBaby, Rosalia, Young Dolph, Pop Smoke, Sheck Wes, and more.

In other news, Kanye West stopped by to surprise the crowd at Travis Scott’s headlining performance at Astroworld and played through some of his most popular tracks with the rapper.

During the headlining show for the concert that included acts from legends such as Marilyn Manson and rising ingenue Rosalia, Kanye West stopped by to absolutely shake the crowd. Surprising Travis Scott during his own hometown festival is one thing, but playing through one of the more popular tracks off his latest album Jesus Is King, was something we never expected.

West joined Travis Scott on stage, and he stayed there to support him through ‘Follow God,’ which had the crowd chanting back bars with reckless abandon. After they completed the track, the DJ dropped the immediately recognizable intro for West’s ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing,’ and the whole festival turned into one giant rap-along as West basked in the glow of the Graduation cut.

Before disappearing back into the mists, West and Scott had a long embrace, smiles beaming as they exchanged words we mere mortals can only dream of. Then, he left and Scott completed the rest of his performance Kanye-less.

Before leaving the stage, West held Scott in a long embrace, beaming as the two exchanged words before he walked off and left Scott to finish the rest of his performance.
