Halfways through Weezer’s cover of ‘Africa’ at their Los Angeles concert on Wednesday, River’s Cuomo whispered the eight words every woman wants to hear “Ladies and gentleman, please welcome ‘Weird Al Yankovic’. Mr. Yankovic emerged triumphant onto the stage, toting an accordion and together they shredded the guitar solo. There are so many layers of irony I think I’m about to combust.
