The West Coast Blues ‘n’ Roots 10th anniversary special weekend edition line up was recently revealed with the likes of Robert Plant, Paul Simon, Wilco and countless other iconic acts being announced and it was received with open arms and mouths. The overwhelming response was amazement and disbelief that such an incredible list of artists would be heading to Fremantle Park for one huge celebratory weekend.
With more announcements being made, it’s hard to keep track of all the amazing artists on the mammoth lineup.
If you can believe it, today comes another monster announcement with multi-Grammy awarding winning Jason Mraz being added to the 10th Anniversary West Coast Blues ‘n’ Roots Festival.
Joining Mraz, and all the way from Spain is undoubtedly the biggest name in world music, Manu Chao. He headlined and opened the Sydney festival at the start of 2012, and was overwhelmed with the size of his following in Australia, he made it his mission to return to Australia soon.
Now, it’s mission: achieved with his return to our shores to perform exclusively at Bluesfest and for the first time ever in WA at West Coast Blues ‘n’ Roots. Having headlined major festivals around the world, such as Coachella, he will be sure to put on a truly amazing show for us in March.
Also hitting the stages at Fremantle Park, are the rocking blues of Melbourne’s Graveyard Train and local upstarts Davey Craddock and the Spectacles.
With such an amazing lineup, 2013’s West Coast Blues ‘n’ Roots Festival isn’t one to be missed!
