The finest purveyor of 21st century dream-pop, Wild Nothing will make his debut Australian tour this March – today announcing special guests to the forthcoming Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane headlines.

With their celebrated debut record Zingers , locals Milk Teddy join Tuesday 12 March’s intimate Toff In Town performance. A band schooled in classic pop smarts, Zingers’ driving rhythms were described by Mess & Noise as “a dreamy haze that reaches broadly for its inspirations, all floating amongst a shallow-fried, lackadaisical mess.”

Featuring members of Songs, Fabulous Diamonds and Kes Band, hypnotic trio Bushwalking will deliver their droning jams at Wild Nothing’s second Melbourne club show – taking place on Labour Day Public Holiday at Melbourne’s Tote. New Zealand’s Popstrangers, who arrived with the excellent single ‘Heaven’ in late-2012 also join proceedings – just a week after their debut long-player Antipodes makes its release on Carpark & Spunk.

A remedy to the Golden Plains comedown, this early evening show will commence with a BBQ from 6.00PM before band’s take the stage.

At Wild Nothing’s Oxford Art Factory date on Friday 8 March, Popstrangers will be joined by Sydney’s Melodie Nelson performing dream-like tunes from her second album, To The Dollhouse, and at Brisbane’s Alhambra Lounge on Thursday 7 March, indie slackers Major Leagues and the minimal sounds of Black Vacation complete the bill.
