Bobby Alu, after a huge 6 months and a super-chilled festive and festival season, is stoked to announce that he and his cohorts are back on tour in support of a special edition 7inch vinyl release of album track ‘Skippin Stones’ out now through Vital Signs. Lifted from current album Take It Slow [which peaked at #2 in the iTunes Aus World Music charts], ‘Skippin Stones’ is one of the most party-paced tracks on the record, a reminder that even as summer slips into February Bobby Alu’s still full of beats, beans and rhythm; ready to crack 2014 like a fresh coconut.

Bobby Alu has been touring Take It Slow nationally since its September release, returning to a burgeoning coastal fan base on both the East Coast and WA as well as prime festival positions at Mullumfest, Island Vibes, Byron Bay Bluesfest and many more. A lauded multi-instrumentalist in his own right, Bobby Alu alter ego Charles Wall has slotted all of his touring and recording alongside his co-collaborator / drumming role with Xavier Rudd, completing national tours in both Australia and North America with Xavier in the second half of last year. A formidable show with an exciting presence, Xavier currently performs live as a two piece with only Charles alongside him on stage. Charles will be taking the drum stool on a couple of dates for Xavier again in this run of dates, but Bobby Alu fans need to get along to one of the national festival or headline shows to get their full dance on to ‘Skippin Stones’ and nab themselves a copy of the tour 7inch [with B-side ‘Hello Again’] for hometime turntables.

Showcasing his deft handling of songwriting and multi-instrumentation perfectly, Bobby Alu and producer (and band mate) Paulie B recorded ‘Hello Again’, the B-side to ‘Skippin Stones’ in just one day.
