2013 has been a big year for World’s End Press. The band released their critically acclaimed and Australian Music Prize long-listed debut LP, which also snagged triple J’s feature album upon release, along with Album of the Week at both FBI and RRR. They remixed tracks by Chvrches and Cloud Control. They toured with Hot Chip and Bloc Party, headed to the US for their own headline shows and dates with Cut Copy, and recently smashed their sold-out album launches in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. To top it all off they tore apart the Supernatural Amphitheatre at the Meredith Music Festival last week.

Now, ‘Drag Me Home’ – a much-loved track from their self-titled album – has just been released as a single accompanied by a wild video directed by Melbourne’s Luci Schroder. If you haven’t yet seen the video, watch it here.

To celebrate their great year, the band will be hitting the road early in February 2014 for shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, before supporting Phoenix on their Australian tour in March. In addition, World’s End Press will play a variety of festivals over Summer – full details below. Tickets for the band’s new shows are now on sale.

Praise for the band’s Meredith Music Festival set last week:

‘It was hard to think that events weren’t fated for WEP, the sky and the light and the euphoria lapping the rim of the Sup’. Throw a bag of showmanship and excellent dance-pop into that environment and you have yourself a brand-new cult.’ – FasterLouder

‘This is a king-making set in terms of timing (despite a light rain), reception and exposure; it feels like everyone is there to witness it, and everyone is into it.’ – Mess + Noise

‘World’s End Press sauntered on after sundown and shaped the night in their image. The Melbourne group are the local dance-band we require, comfortably providing all the muscle, funk and hooks required for a single-serving of party-in-a-packet.’ – The Vine
