After a whirlwind Australian and South East Asian tour in 2013, pop-funk-soul wunderkind Dru Chen returns with a new single ‘Turnaround’ and a launch show at The Workers Club on March 22 with Alta, Echo Drama (duo), Broadway Sounds (DJs) and The Fandroids.

Previously, Dru Chen’s successful first single ‘You Bring Out The Best In Me‘ has found a wide audience in the live music circuit, as well as online and on air, garnering in excess of 20,000 views on YouTube and been picked up for multiple airing by radio, including Triple R, PBS, SYN, and JOY FM.

Alta have also had a very impressive past few months, performing at Strawberry Fields, Paradise Music Festival and Inca Roads and supporting iconic UK producer Bonobo at The Palace Theatre in Melbourne.

Reggae-soul outfit Echo Drama will be performing as an acoustic duo showcasing the captivating vocals of Thando Sikwila and songwriting of band leader Jeremy Schiftan.

The Fandroids, an R&B dance troupe who’s impressive music video resume reads like a who’s who of chart toppers (Kimbra, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem) will perform a 15 min dance routine.

Broadway Sounds’ Andrew Phillips will keep things fresh on the neo-soul / afro-funk front DJ-ing in between acts.

Music video director Edwin Tejoz will present ‘Turnaround’s Sin City-inspired film clip along with the cast, who will perform a dramatic skit live prior to the performance.
