Purple Sneakers is the brainchild of Sydney-based Martin Novosel (aka PhDJ). Backed by a rad team of real music people the company’s involvement with new music over the years has been nothing short of super tight. Having hosted internationals like Star Slinger, Kele, Kisses, Gigamesh, MNDR and Odd Future (DJ set) on their first tours, as well as the cream of the current generation of hot local acts – The Rubens, Kimbra, Flume, Alpine, DZ Deathrays, Jezabels & Bleeding Knees.
With a background in A&R and artist management (Clubfeet, Sparkadia, Philadelphia Grand Jury) it just made sense that the next logical step for Purple Sneakers was to start a singles label. In the near future there will be other signings, but what better way to kick start the label immediately than by releasing the very first original track by the Purple Sneakers DJs ‘One Night Standing’
To celebrate the duo will be ripping up the dance floor at the last show of their ‘Last One Standing Tour’ this weekend at FBI Social and we have 1 x double pass for the show!
