Central Coast duo Winterbourne – made up of James Draper and Jordan Brady – are back after two years with their stunning new single ‘Better’. Following in the likes of Brian Wilson’s shimmering pop, ‘Better’ is an overabundance of pleasures, held in place by a perfectly catchy chorus and rollicking guitars, while the lyrics work at ripping apart cultural pressures around bettering yourself.

After premiering last Tuesday night on Good Nights with Bridget Hustwaite, the single is now available for you to wrap your ear holes around on all your usual listening platforms.

Winterbourne have spent years honing their craft in the studio and on stage, and have collaborated with their self-appointed musical dream team consisting of producer Andy Mak, engineer Jackson Barclay, and multi-instrumentalist Thom Mak. If this first taste isn’t enough to quench your thirst, then you’ll be pleased to hear that the duo have been recording their album over a six-month period at La Cueva, an idyllic, remote studio in Byron Bay, as well as a few stints at The Grove.

Originally discovered on the busking scene, the Central Coast duo have quickly gained a loyal following which has seen them tour consistently around the country and release two EP’s – 2014’s All But The Sun and 2016’s Pendulum. Over the past two years, they’ve sold out headline shows and have supported the likes of triple j Hottest 100 winners The Rubens, Lewis Watson, and Little May.
