Australian-themed UK pop-rockers The Wombats are returning to our shores very soon for the 2017 edition of Groovin’ The Moo, but they’re not going to hold out on us when it comes to sideshows, having just announced a string of extra dates across the country.

Making the most of the incredibly long plane flight, the guys will be sticking around from late April to mid-May, adding three side-shows to their local itinerary in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

They certainly sound excited about the prospect of another Aussie holiday, too, not to mention the prospect of a Glitterbug followup on the way rather soon:

“Hey Australia, so we’re playing Groovin’ the Moo this year and we thought whilst we were over it would be rude not to do some sideshows as we’re celebrating 10 years since the release of our 1st album! Our 1st baby is 10, we can’t believe how much he’s grown. We look forward to having a few massive birthday parties for the little blighter. Hope you can make it! – PS New music coming this year!”

But wait, there’s more. The band have teamed up with GTM and Warner Music Australia to take part in the ‘Shoot The Moo’ comp, which gives aspiring photographers the chance to shoot the band from the sweaty confines of the photographers’ pit, directly in front of the stage, and also snag a meet and greet with the band.

Eager photogs and fans can head over to the GTM website for more details, and you can check out all of the dates and fresh sideshows below.
