Front woman for X-Ray Spex, Poly Styrene, has revealed that she’s battling cancer. The iconic punk figurehead has had a spokesperson release a statement on her website saying “She is devastated that she cannot commit to any live dates at this stage, but her album remains a very positive force in her current journey.”
She tells fans “It’s been a bit of a battle fighting this cancer but hey ho I’m still alive,” she said. “Luv Poly.” The punk legend has been active in a campaign by various musicians to make Google and YouTube pay them more royalties for having their work shown or streamed.
