We’ve heard of some pretty weird ways of travelling to a music festival, from hitchhiking to hiring out limousines, but wow, it looks like the new way to get to Bonnaroo takes the crazy cake.
According to Billboard, you can now use Uber to hook up a helicopter, yep, you read that correctly, a freaking helicopter to fly you the Billy Joel, Kendrick Lamar and Florence + The Machine headlined Tennessee event, which you can stream on Tone Deaf right here.

Bonnaroo have partnered with Nashville company Helistar Aviation to offer its UberCHOPPER service which will allow festival goers with enough cash to fly from Nashville to the Manchester-based festival, and believe it or not – the price tag isn’t as ridiculous as you’d expect.
For the very small fortune of $1500, one buys themselves a car ride in an Uber to the helipad pad, to which they will then be flown to the Bonnaroo festival grounds. Sadly, this isn’t the cost of a return trip via the sky, however Uber will drive you home – which is still way better than driving yourself, or even worse, dreaded public transport.
If you’re in Nashville and need a way to Bonnaroo, have got a bit of spare cash (or your credit card hooked up to your Uber account), you can book the chopper simply via the app on your phone. Still not kidding.
