If you ask DJ Khaled, he’d probably say that he’s a one-off, a true original. That’s not the case though, because there’s a seriously uncanny DJ Khaled lookalike roaming the world.
On Monday, April 4th, footage of the producer’s doppelgänger went viral after he was spotted at a Waffle House (you can see where the confusion stemmed from).
The man deserves a lot of credit: with a camera stuck in his face as he’s just trying to pay for his order, he finds it within himself to hit out with one of DJ Khaled’s famous lines. “Another one,” Fake DJ Khaled says, holding up the number one with his finger. What a bloody good sport.
It’s actually not the first lookalike people have found for the producer. An Uber driver went viral last year for also sharing a resemblance to him. Honestly, nothing separates the trio. The two doppelgängers could sub in for DJ Khaled onstage when he’s tired and the audience would be none the wiser.
Life is going rather well for the Real DJ Khaled these days. On Monday, April 11th, he’ll receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It will be located close to recent inductees the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who just got their star last week. It just goes to show, come up with enough viral catchphrases and you too could find your name on Hollywood Boulevard. I’d also bet a year’s rent that DJ Khaled will comically shout “Another one” while receiving his star.
His most recent album, Khaled Khaled, came out last year. Overflowing with collaborations with the likes of Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and Post Malone, the extra star power helped the album to number seven on the ARIA Albums Chart and top spot on the U.S. Billboard 200.
