We always thought the perfect record didn’t exist, but then we found out about the upcoming special edition Shrek vinyl.
In what can only be described as Shrektastic news, a slime green coloured vinyl will be dropping on Record Store Day to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary.
It’s hard to believe it’s been two whole decades since the character of Shrek burst onto our screens (and into our hearts), but we couldn’t think of a better way to mark the milestone.
While the movie’s soundtrack was already released on vinyl back in 2019, this time around it’s the original score that will take centre stage.
Yep, although this edition sadly won’t feature ‘All Star’ by Smash Mouth, it will include a whopping 27 tracks composed by Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell.
If for some reason Shrek isn’t your jam, then exclusive vinyls by the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Lady Gaga, Evanescence, Gorillaz and Twenty One Pilots will also be available come Record Store Day.
A mere 2,000 vinyls of Shrek‘s original score will be released on Saturday, June 12th, so we suggest you set those alarms now.
