A 22-year-old man has died at Lost Paradise festival, whilst two are being treated in hospital after taking an “unknown substance”.

The unnamed 22-year-old was taken to Gosford Hospital at around 8 pm, in which he died shortly after. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a man and a woman both got sick after taking the substance. They both remain in hospital in a stable condition.

Lost Paradise have come forward to acknowledge the tragedy, calling the death “distressing”. It is noted on the festival’s official channels that it is a “drug-free event”.

Lost Paradise takes place over 4 days in the Glenworth Valley in NSW, in which international acts like The Kooks, Joey Badass and M.I.A will perform at.

This death comes after the highly publicized death of a 19-year-old at Knockout – Games of Destiny festival in Sydney a few months ago.
