Every day we’re faced with an onslaught of album announcements so we thought we’d start sharing the soon-to-be-released love by putting together a list of the most notable and exciting album announcements on a weekly basis.

Childish Gambino
Because The Internet

After dropping new single ‘3005’ earlier this week as well as having a weird sorta public meltdown, in which he told everyone of his Instagram followers that while he wanted to release his second album around Christmas, that he wasn’t a ‘big enough artist’ to do so.

Looks like it worked with the release date being this December.

Another album of pop-culturally relevant sharp rhymes over smooth as fuck beats? Can’t wait!

Because The Internet is out December 6th through Glassnotes Record

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Live From KCRW

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced the fourth official live album in the band’s history and their first new release since releasing the ARIA and AMP-nominated Push The Sky Away, the band’s first-ever Australian #1 album in their 30 year history.

Live From KCRW features a stripped-down lineup – Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Jim Sclavunos, Barry Adamson, and their iconic ringleader – performing classic Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds material alongside four songs from Push the Sky Away.

Due for release on 29th November – as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday release list – the recordings were made earlier this year at a live KCRW radio session at Apogee Studio in Los Angeles. The session was recorded by Bob Clearmountain on April 18th, between the band’s two Coachella festival appearances.

Live from KCRW will be released on CD, download, and double vinyl format – which features two additional exclusive, un-broadcasted live recordings from the session: ‘Into my Arms’ and ‘God is in the House’. The live album will also be available as a digital deluxe bundle with Push the Sky Away.

Sebastian Grainger
Yours To Discover

Sebastien Grainger is a master of sound. His ability to manipulate melodies and vocals into gritty perfection has never been more obvious than on his upcoming solo release.

While he may gnash his teeth and beat everything up as the singer/drummer in the visceral power-duo Death From Above 1979, “Yours To Discover” is a declaration of peace in a time of war.

It’s an invitation to an exciting new land where back to basics pop lunges forward with a peerless contemporary sound.

From the slow build and anticipation of the stunning “I’m Looking For A Hand” which has Sebastien “looking for a sound in a world of vision…” to the heady first indie-pop single “Going With You” that will no doubt cause some pretty major sing-alongs in the coming months and years.

Yours To Discover is out November 12th through Last Gang / Cooking Vinyl
