We’re all intimately familiar with the Australia Tax, which ensures that Aussies get everything last and for way more money than they do overseas. It’s the reason Australia is the number one country for pirating Game of Thrones.

When it comes to boat cruise festivals, it looks like we’re one of the major party-loving destinations that still hasn’t jumped on board (see what we did there?) with this new movement that’s been sweeping the international festival scene.

Well, Aussies wait no longer, because Australia’s first boat cruise festival has finally arrived. It’s called Sea ‘N Beats and it will effectively serve as the Down Under answer to the likes of Holy Ship, It’s The Ship, and Groove Cruise.

The maiden voyage will set sail Saturday, 5th March 2016, launching from Brisbane to a mystery island off the coast of Queensland, before coming back to its launch point. All up, the party lasts four days and three nights.

Entertainment will be spread over seven stages and will include a day party on the island. The lineup is expected to have an electronic flavour to it and is expected to drop later this month. Organisers have promised “the hottest names in electronic and dance music from all over Australia”.

Four-person cabins will run you $960 per person and organisers expect them to sell out fast. Sign up to the Sea ‘N Beats mailing list to be the first to know the lineup and have access to pre-sales via the festival’s official website.
