It’s been kind of a busy day for Ms Courtney Barnett. While we were all just getting into work, the acclaimed Aussie songwriter got the day started by announcing her appearance as part of the forthcoming Melbourne Festival.

Barnett will be appearing as part of a special tribute to Patti Smith’s timeless debut album, Horses, alongside Jen Cloher, Magic Dirt frontwoman Adalita, and Gareth Liddiard, frontman for acclaimed Aussie outfit The Drones.

If that wasn’t enough to get fans excited, the ‘Depreston’ songwriter also unveiled a cryptic piece of footage via her Facebook page, which appears to be a teaser for an upcoming music video for her track ‘Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go to the Party’.

As readers can see below, the cinematic-looking clip sees Barnett lazing in bed, with some close-ups on the various items in her room, including some randomly placed bananas and a copy of The New Yorker, before she’s woken up by her own song.

Courtney Stay Home…
