Robbie Williams is a veteran of the arena circuit, having completed countless massive headline tours around the world. But no amount of preparation and rehearsal can prevent an error in judgment, which is precisely what left the singer red-faced in Brisbane on Saturday.

As the Sydney Morning Herald reports, Williams was left praying one of his traditional concert segments wouldn’t make it to YouTube after he discovered the recipient of his sexy secretary gag was there with her mum to celebrate her 15th birthday.

Just before the third song of the encore, Williams takes it upon himself to find an attractive lady in glasses, before explaining how much he loves the sexy secretary look and how it reminds him that he needs to clean out his computer, then belting out ‘She’s The One’ to his lucky new “girlfriend”.

After asking a bespectacled young lady near the stage for her name — Morgan — the 41-year-old Williams told the fan, “I love the secretary look. Which reminds me, I really do need to clean up my computer.” He then asked, “How old are you?”

As you can see in the clip below, when the answer came back, “15”, Williams’ visage immediately turned to mortified. “Oh shit,” he replied. “Are you here with your mum?” Morgan’s mum, the SMH notes, was just as starstruck as her young daughter.

“Please don’t put this on YouTube,” Williams said. “It’ll be on YouTube, then it’ll be in the newspapers, then we’ll all be in trouble. What am I going to say? Stay away from boys like me, Morgan. They’re fucking arseholes.”

Williams addressed the song to Morgan anyway and “mostly your mum”, as he focused on the legally-aged contingent of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. He also experienced some good-natured ribbing from one of his trusty backup singers.

“Let it go,” Williams jokingly muttered to the singer as she continued to laugh mid-song, his face turning a brightly embarrassed shade of pink. Readers can check out the whole incident in the clip embedded below.
