It’s almost time to ice the beers, crank up the BBQ, and turn up the triple j, because Melbourne’s biggest Hottest 100 party, Bowled over, is returning for its sixth year this Australia Day (Tuesday, 26th January).
For one day every year, the historic St Kilda Bowls Club is transformed into Melbourne’s premier Australia Day party venue, this year featuring a lineup of Harts, Grenadiers, IV League, and more.
Of course, triple j’s Hottest 100 will be lasting all day long thanks to UE Boom and punters will again be treated to their very own private oasis at the Secret Garden, with plenty of deck chairs, bean bags, and umbrellas.
2016 sees the addition of the new Picnic Park, a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat with plenty of picnic tables, shade, and food. The boys from Leonard’s House Of Love will also be dishing up from their pop-up chicken and burger shop.
After you’ve downed some grub, you can head on over to the Bowling Green to play barefoot lawn bowls or put your hand up for a chance to earn the coveted bowling cup. It’s open to everybody!
VIP guests will be able to enjoy the plush surrounds of the UE Boom Summer Club, with dedicated bowling lanes all day as well as drink service, plush seating, phone charging stations, and umbrellas.
