If you haven’t noticed, Tame Impala leader Kevin Parker is sort of a big deal right now. The now BRIT Award-winning polymath musician has become a favourite among international pop stars.

As some readers will no doubt recall, the latest album from Barbadian pop diva Rihanna features a cover of Tame’s ‘New Person, Same Old Mistakes’, which Parker himself has praised.

Now, Parker has lent his name to a remix of ‘Waves’, a cut from R&B sensation Miguel’s 2015 album Wildheart, turning the smooth jam into a phased-out psychedelic epic.

The remix premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show and as Stereogum notes, the track could have easily features on Tame Impala’s last album, the critically acclaimed Currents.
