UPDATE: The Splendour In The Grass 2016 lineup has finally arrived – get it right here!

Whilst a string of international festival lineups have consistently dashed our hopes for the Splendour In The Grass 2016 lineup, we may finally have a hint at who will actually be appearing in Byron Bay this July.

Speaking recently to FasterLouder, The 1975 frontman Matthew Healy revealed the band, who recently unveiled their sophomore album, will be returning to Australia for a string of headline dates “around July”.

When asked if that meant the band had been tapped to appear at the three-day camping festival extravaganza, Healy replied, “I’d imagine we will be, yeah.” We obviously have to wait for confirmation from Splendour, but that sounds promising.

As FasterLouder note, the band will be particularly busy in July, with festival dates across Europe, but there is a gap in their tour dates around the time of Splendour, which they previously played back in 2014.

The 1975 embarked on an Australian tour back in January, which was put together by the good folks at Secret Sounds, who just so happen to be the team behind Splendour and who’ve been known to tour Splendour acts before they appear at the event.
