Groezrock is an annual music festival held in Belgium that’s rivalled only by the Vans Warped Tour for domination over the world’s punk rock festival market. This year’s lineup is headlined by Rancid, with support from Sum 41, Hatebreed, and many more.

You get the idea, it’s basically Mecca for any self-respecting punk rock fan. Well, we like to think Australia has a pretty neat little punk scene itself and the organisers of Groezrock certainly seem to agree because they’ve added a swag of Aussies to their lineup.

In addition to Sydney metalcore outfit Northlane, organisers have now added Melbourne party-starters The Bennies, their brothers-in-arms Clowns, and Sydney sons Hellions, who’ll be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Less Than Jake, Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, and more.

Unsurprisingly, our Aussie bands can’t wait to get over to Europe and show them how we do things, with The Bennies excitedly tweeting, “NO SHIT!!!! WE R PLAYING GROEZROCK FESTIVAL IN BELGIUM… SO MANY GOOD BANDS… INCLUDING RANCID.”
