Lumineers – Cleopatra

Denver trio, The Lumineers, have announced their long-awaited return with news of second album Cleopatra – the follow up to their multi-Grammy-nominated, iconic self-titled debut. After exploding onto the scene with their monster single, the irrepressible ‘Ho Hey’, and its follow-up, ‘Stubborn Love’ this new release comes after a solid three years touring six of the seven continents.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – Nonagon Infinity

It’s been a few months so f course the seven headed psych beast King Gizzard &the Lizard Wizard have a new LP on the horizon. This their 8th LP, promises to be high-octane, face-melting 9-song collection. What’s also fascinating it that it’s been ingeniously crafted as the world’s first infinitely looping LP – each track seamlessly flows into the next, with the final song linking straight back into the top of the opener. Get on those pre-orders fast though, as they’re selling at light-speed.

PJ Harvey – The Hope Six Demolition Project

Following on from her 2011 Mercury Prize winning LP Let England Shake the one and only PJ Harvey is now about to release the anticipated The Hope Six Demolition Project. This LP draws from several journeys undertaken by Harvey, who spent time in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, D.C. over a four-year period. “When I’m writing a song I visualise the entire scene. I can see the colours, I can tell the time of day, I can sense the mood, I can see the light changing, the shadows moving, everything in that picture. Gathering information from secondary sources felt too far removed for what I was trying to write about. I wanted to smell the air, feel the soil and meet the people of the countries I was fascinated with”, says Harvey.

Babymetal – Metal Resistance

Lose Tooth – Saturn Returns

Masters of crafting the most endearing indie rock we’ve heard in 2016, Melbourne three-piece Loose Tooth are unleashing their brand new EP via Milk! Records titled Saturn Returns. The EP was recorded and mixed by Paul Maybury (Rocket Science, Pink Tiles) and mastered by Mikey Young. Like their first single ‘Everything Changes’ devouring this EP has just made us hungrier for more sweet, sweet Loose Tooth in not-too-distant future.

Ben Harper – Call It What It Is

After much anticipation from fans around the world, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals have finally reunited for their first record together in nine years, Call It What It Is, which is due to drop 8th April 8th via Stax Records / Caroline International. The band recently premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Pink Balloon’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live and it’s already being touted as a tremendous return from one of the most beloved blues, folk, and roots bands of the contemporary era.

M83 – Junk

M83, the moniker of one-man-band Anthony Gonzalez, will add another chapter to an increasingly legendary discography this 8th April when they unveil Junk, M83’s eagerly anticipated follow-up to the critically acclaimed Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, which featured the Grammy-nomianted, platinum-selling ‘MidnightCity’. Junk sees Gonzalez boldly expanding the sonic scope of M83 with new sounds and styles never previously attempted with the project.

Deftones – Gore

One of the most successful bands ever to come out of the world of heavy metal, Deftones boast a lengthy career built on a string of landmark albums that have nabbed the Sacramento, California group multi-platinum record sales and even Grammy Awards. They’re currently gearing up to release their eagerly anticipated eighth studio album, Gore, on 8th April. Frontman Chino Moreno has already said of the LP, “Out of respect for Pac, Big, Stevie, Michael, Hendrix, Gore is ONE of the greatest albums not the greatest, just one of.”

Melbourne Ska Orchestra – Sierra-Kilo-Alpha

Every day is a celebration with Melbourne Ska Orchestra, but right now they really have a reason to party.
