Rockaway Records is a Brisbane independent music store based in Logan. We specialise in import, rare, promo, deleted and collectable vinyl LPs & 45s, rock memorabilia, band, movie & game merchandise. We also have a selection of over 20,000 new, and over 5,000 quality guaranteed used, CDs and DVDs. We have been buying and selling for 20 years.

We have a fantastic selection of music memorabilia and collectables and band and movie merchandise from around the world. The range includes rare vinyl LP and 45 records, sheet music, tour programs, concert tickets, posters, books, magazines, t-shirts, hoodies/sweatshirts, figurines, rare out of print and promotional items. Only 5,000 specialty items are listed on our website which is still only a fraction of the huge range we have in store. What are you guys doing to send  Because of the disappointing support by Australian companies in the last 2 years and it appears to be the same this year, I am heading overseas next week to my brothers LA store www.rockaway.com for Record Store Day to pick up vinyl personally.

What has been your best find on vinyl?

Australian private pressing on Festival, coloured vinyl Michael Jackson believed to be one of a kind. 

What is your most prized record?

Beatles picture disc officially pressed with Rockaway logo on one side – about 10 printed.

What kind of records did you steal from parents/older siblings?

Put on cassette all of my older brother’s LP collection when I was 15 –  about 400 LPs.

Where do you source the records you sell in thestore?

Brother’s LA store, USA trips, local trade ins and a variety of wholesalers throughout the world for new pressings.

Is there a record you’ve been on the prowl for that you’re still hoping to find?

To pick up a Beatles “Butcher” cover in Australia.

What system do you listen to your vinyl on?

Luxman PD284 turntable.
