After the success of his critically acclaimed debut solo album ‘Here Come The Bombs’, former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes releases his follow-up single ‘Simulator’ on Hot Fruit Recordings through Inertia. Available to download from iTunes, the bundle includes a cover of one of Gaz’s favourite Beach Boys songs; “I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times”.
Coombes engaged the help of family and fans to take part in the making of the video for ‘Simulator’. The video, directed by Gaz’s brother Charly Coombes, enlisted the services of volunteer Facebook fans who came to the shoot and took part in the role of ‘Simulants’.
The album ‘Here Come The Bombs’ is a continuation of Gaz’s contribution to music since signing his first record deal at the tender age of 14. From the ethereally dreamy “Bombs” to the exuberant “Break The Silence” Coombes explores the unexpected whilst maintaining the famous love of melody that marked some of the finest Supergrass moments.
Gaz has recently been playing at festivals such as Applecart Festival, Great Escape and Camden Crawl and is set to play Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival in September, along with festivals in France and Japan.
The awesome people at Inertia and Audio-Technica have kindly offered us 4 x Gaz Coombes new album (CD) + 4 x Audio-Technica Headphones to give away.
Just one small catch… You will need to watch the ‘Simulator’ video and answer the little question below:
