We all started something – it’s a universal truth that inspires reflection. It’s also the title of Eli Wolfe’s brand new single, which he penned in Los Angeles then recorded in Sydney with ARIA-nominated producer Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels), as part of his most exciting musical year to date.

Eli is touring the single nationally from October to December 2012, with 17 dates in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and ACT.

‘We All Started Something’ will be released digitally in November on Eli’s own label, Magic Journey Recordings, with distribution through the artist friendly MGM. It’s the first single from Eli’s forthcoming EP, due out in early 2013.

The year saw Eli perform to full houses across Canada and Germany, help launch a youth campaign promoting respectful relationships in Australia, and release his second studio recording, ‘Cards are on the table’. That EP debuted at number one on community radio’s most ordered songs for airplay chart, went on to enjoy airplay on Triple J and ABC local radio nationally, and includes a song that featured on classic cartoon comedy Futurama.

The new single showcases Eli as a truly diverse artist, blending his renowned heartfelt vocals with driving grooves to make for a cosmic, high-spirited and epic sound.

Eli says the song was inspired by the motivations that drive us to action and the outcomes that define us as individuals and as a collective.

“We lament on the past, and curious, fascinated, emotive and driven, we face the future. Our actions define us as a species in this Universe,” says Eli.
