The foremost Japanese Funk Legends are FINALLY coming down under!
Celebrating their 20th Anniversary with a World Tour Japan’s finest funk band, OSAKA MONAURAIL are heading to Australia for a monster tour.
They dress immaculately in the sharpest of suits, they move in total unison while the horn sections spins and twirls all the while building up a driving funk energy unknown until now in Australia.
For 20 years they have toured the biggest festivals in the world, played the tightest clubs on the planet
and brought the dancefloor to volcanic like eruptions.
They have recorded nine albums in that time, one of which with James Brown’s backing vocalist, Soulsister Number One,
Marva Whitney “I AM WHAT I AM”; which to this day stands as one of the most exciting collaborations in funk across cultures.
OSAKA MONAURAIL will land in Sydney for the Festival in January where they will perform three shows
then make their way south to Melbourne for a FUNK EXPLOSION at The Esplanade Hotel on January 25th (Australia Day Eve) before heading bush to the Rainbow Serpent Festival where they will headline a night of unparalleled funk.
