We’re taught not to judge a book by its cover, but instead we went the other way and took that idea to its logical conclusion with a selection of some of music’s strangest album art from over the ages. We then wrangled our writers to conjure up fictional assessments of records based on nothing but the cover alone – no research, no clues. We then took their creative assessments and paired them side-by-side with what the album really is… and the results are very interesting indeed.
