Sydney-based artist Jack Prest (a.k.a Future Love Hangover) has released his debut album ‘Ecstatic Yours Truly’ in a completely new format, pushing popular music towards a fine art, rather than a commercial aesthetic, calling it an Exposure. This is an immersive world of sound, vision, concepts and imagery.
Sunlight Screams Electric, is the third and final piece of the Future Love Hangover multi-media project. It brings into clarity a body of work as wideranging and ambitious, if not more so, as any of his contemporaries. Prest is the sole creator and producer of the album, the film clips, the art direction and concepts. FLH shows Prest as a true artist and truly independent at a time when both terms have lost their deeper meanings.
The idea behind the video sees Jack taking on the 21st Century role of multi-media producer, with his personal creative vision delivering both the audio and visual elements. This provides for an artwork where the images are aesthetically and conceptual intertwined with the music, creating a film clip that supersedes the current norm.
