After the success of the band’s Gratis EP & ‘Thought You Would single’, Self Is A Seed return to the spotlight with the much anticipated release of their full length debut album Siren.
Recorded at Studios 301 and produced with Aria Award winner Anton Hagop (Silverchair/Powderfinger), Siren captures a band on the rise.
Up-front, raw & very loud this album is a collection of solid, tight grooves, layered with hook driven guitars that deliver the band’s trademark bite. Vocally Siren. showcases a pop sensibility rarely heard in their genre.
With the delicate acoustic wash of ‘Doctor’ to the journeys taken in ‘Memory Pit’ and ‘At The Moment’, Self Is A Seed show that they are not only a diverse act operating on parallels but also a band capable of creating music written with impact and the notion that a song can still inspire, incite and resonate.
Featuring the new single and title track ‘Siren’ along with crowd favourites ‘Monkey Business’, ‘Thought You Would’ and ‘Somnambulist’, Siren is available through MGM Green online and in-store from March 15th 2013.
