It’s been a long time in the making, but the time has finally arrived for multi-instrumentalist Dune to announce the release her debut EP ’Oh Innocence’ on March 14, 2013. Featuring debut single ‘Shoestring’ and a brand new single in the form of title track ‘Oh Innocence’, this expansive EP boasts 5 self-produced tracks which traverse a futuristic vista created from textured synths and beats, resplendent with lashings of primal emotion and stark imagery.
The first single Shoestring is an immersive song lashed with colour; encompassing driving beats and Dune’s captivating vocals layered over Eastern scales and the title track ‘Oh Innocence’ combines the lyrical buoyancy of subliminal sketches from the subconscious with an expansive, yet restrained backdrop of vocal loops and echoes of distorted reverb and analogue delay.
To herald the release of the EP, Dune will be launching ’Oh Innocence’ with her band at Ding Dong Lounge on Saturday 23rd March, before she heads off to wow audiences at The Great Escape Festival in the UK later this year.
