As the name implies, Howling Steam Train are ragged, relentless, and freakin’ fun.
They’re a nice n’ boozy cocktail of rock, soul, boogie and a bunch of other stuff you can’t quite put your finger on. They’ve spent the summer serving it up to big frenzied crowds at Queencliff, Falls Festival, and Deniliquin Blues & Roots alongside Santana, Steve Miller and Bonnie Raitt.
They also managed to record this here EP.
Green Jelly is the bands third release, and second under the acclaimed producer Steven Schram (Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, The Vasco Era).
‘Chinatown’ is the riff happy electric party starter. The 60’s rock&roll soaked ‘Over the Bend’ puts the excitement in full swing. ‘Shine’ is a soulful story of heartbreak, featuring stunning guest vocals from Mojo Juju. Finally, ‘Boogie’ is the ultimate good viben’ party. It explodes with positive energy and encapsulates what the band is about.
