After turning to fans to help crowdfund record their sixth studio album, The Wasteland, Eskimo Joe’s dedicated followers showed unprecedented support, eventually raising over $60,000 towards the Pozible campaign.

Smashing their targets and setting a benchmark for crowdfunding ventures, six months on, the multi-platinum Perth trio are now gifting their fans with a unique tour of the country.

The just announced Winter Warmer Tour will see Kav Temperly, Stuart MacLeod, and Joel Quartermain performing a string of intimate shows ahead of the release of their new studio album with acoustic shows that reinterpret their five album back catalogue for a new, personalised setting.

The 2-hour acoustic shows will draw selections from the band’s hugely popular five album discography, which stretches from their 2001 debut Girl, to the ARIA Award winning Black Fingernails, Red Wine from 2006, and most recently, 2011’s Ghosts From The Past.

The bands say: “We’re really excited to get back out on the road and connect with people again. We’ve got a few new songs that we’re going to try out acoustically with some re-working of old songs too. We feel really lucky to have such beautiful and unique venues do this in. Can’t wait.”

Venturing out this June, the Winter Warmer Tour kick starts its unique run in Sydney at Paddington Uniting Church in Newtown before trotting around the country playing in unconventional but beautiful settings, such as Brisbane’s Old Museum, Melbourne’s Ormond Hall, Adelaide’s Published Arthouse, and two very special hometown shows in Perth at Fremantle’s Moore and Moore venue.

Do not miss your chance to catch one of Australia’s most treasured acts in what is sure to be a one-of-a-kind tour with one-of-a-kind surprises.

The fan pre-sale begins today (Monday 27th May at 11am), exclusive to Eskimo Joe mailing list members, with general public tickets going on sale Thursday 30th May at 9am.
