Rat & Co Announce 2013 Australian Tour

After releasing their debut album, the extremely accomplished One (壱) Uno (壹) Ein in March, the four members of Melbourne’s Rat & Co have been very busy indeed, including sell-out shows in their hometown and international support slots for UK’s Gold Panda.

Their live show and album has been met with rave reviews from local music press, including Tone Deaf, with our reviewer awarding the album an 8/10 score to One (壱) Uno (壹) Ein, writing: “those searching for a cinematic score to soundtrack a time of deep introspection, they’ll find something fragile, intriguing, and elegant to accompany their brain waves”

The album has also found favour with community radio, with airplay from stations including 3RRR, PBS, FBi, 4ZZZ, SYN, and Radio Adelaide.

Rat & Co also recently joined friend and musical cohort Chet Faker on his European tour through May and June, playing shows in Brighton, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Heidelberg, Barcelona, and Madrid.

Following their Chet Faker-aided European trip, Rat & Co return home to play a special headline show in their native Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club in July, then partnering with the Kite String Tangle for a show at Brisbane’s Alhambra Lounge and then jetting to Sydney’s Goodgod Small Club.Supports for the shows will be announced shortly.

Rat & Co continue to cement their reputation as one of Australia’s lead upcoming acts as word about their experimental electronic tunes spreads and listeners are met with an enthralling live show, while also winning respect from peers such as Chet Faker, Snakadaktal, and Northeast Party house.
