Having revealed itself as a new player on the Aussie music festival scene earlier this month, the Cronulla Endless Summer Festival has revealed its full inaugural lineup.

Following on from announcing The Preatures and Bluejuice as headliners for the new three-day event, the full list of bands headed to Cronulla for the weekend of the 27th to the 29th December for a “celebration of the suburb’s unique history and stunning beachside culture” has been unveiled.

In a media launch hosted today at The Old Library, an acclaimed restaurant in the south Sydney suburb that also happens to be a presenting partner of the new Aussie music festival, Bluejuice were on hand to perform alongside Aussie pop punks Amy Meredith, who are among the new Endless Summer Festival lineup additions.

Another major addition are hard-rocking locals, Strangers, the five-piece who released their debut album, Persona Non Grata, earlier this year, they’re joined by fellow NSW Central Coast heavy rock group, Shinobi, who’ve been hard at work juggling touring with recording new studio material.

There’s plenty of emerging talent to enjoy further down the Endless Summer Festival bill, with Aussie hip hop artist Skryptcha, the retro pop/rock sounds of I Am Apollo, and one-man fuzz-pop machine, Marlin Zando.

They join the already announced headliners Bluejuice and Sydney five-piece The Preatures, singer-songwriter Dustin Tebbutt, Tassie starlet Asta, and producer-performer duo Touch Sensitive on the inaugural Endless Summer Festival bill.

The bands will provide the soundtrack at the festival’s picturesque site in the bayside Gunnamatta Park, from midday until 9pm on each day of the festival, and best of all, the event is free to attend.

Utilising the busy summer peak and post-Christmas holiday, the new Aussie music festival will complement the music with a host of community-minded activities. There’s a “strong focus on holistic and fresh food with a providorial market style approach” in catering managed by Cronulla’s acclaimed restaurant The Old Library, indulging culinary fans with a Big Australian BBQ line-up, Notaras Seafood City, Foodies, Pure Gelato, Love Crepe and many more, while an arts and culture alley will exhibit local offerings.

Southside Events’ Mario Kalpou, who is also the owner of The Old Library, is the driving force behind Cronulla’s Endless Summer Festival, who says that “until now Cronulla didn’t host anything that showcased all this great suburb has to offer… we will bring a festival experience that is unique to Cronulla, but will borrow from other successful community events like Bondi’s Open Air Cinema, the Manly Jazz Festival and the Newtown Arts Festival.”
