ABBA fans the world over are pleading for the return of a stolen onesie worn by Agnetha Faltskog on the band’s 1977 Australian Tour. In a crafty theft, it was removed from its storage place in a Healesville shed and is believed to have been sold in a garage sale. With the AbbaWorld exhibition arriving on Melbourne’s fair shores in June this year, promoter Paul Dainty says the jumpsuit would be a great addition to an already massive collection of Abba paraphanalia. He has even offered up a $10,000 reward to anyone who might be able to find it.

“I’m very optimistic we’ll be able to find it, because I’ve got to think that someone in Australia has got this jumpsuit,” he said.
The significance of the jumpsuit is due to the fact that the 1977 Abba Tour was one of their most epic.
Agnetha and the jumpsuit parted ways when she gave it to an Ansett hostess during the tour as a gesture of goodwill.

Mr Dainty believes the historic item of clothing is in good hands and would like to borrow it for his touring Abba museum.
“I’ve got to think that someone’s got it hidden away and is prepared to get it out for such a good reason.”

Abba World was launched in London last month and will come to Melbourne’s Federation Square later this year.
