The world’s leading exponents of cardigan wearing and twee indieness, Belle & Sebastian, have announced plans for a new recording and gigs. They’re going in to the studio to record a follow up to 2006’s The Life Pursuit, and are heading out on the road too.
The Glasgow band emailed fans on their mailing list, saying: “We’ve been in the studio these last few weeks writing some new tracks and shortly we will say cheerio to Glasgow for a while when we set off to LA to record our next album,”
They have announced that they’re playing several Scandanavian festivals, followed by Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival. Could they be making their way down under after that?
