Far From Paris are a relative newcomer to the wider Australian heavy scene, but the in-demand Brisbane five-piece have made waves very quickly and loudly, supporting numerous national touring artists, doing short tours down the East Coast and headlining many of Brisbane’s venues – Far From Paris have played at Snitch, Thriller and taken the stage with bands such as Hellions, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, Like Thieves,Trial Kennedy, Helm and The Matador.
The ridiculously catchy track beckons – “Step Up, Step Up, what are you waiting for!?” and quickly gets down to the business of bringing the breakdowns and the infectious choruses. The track is anthemic and slick. Vocalist Peter Horne’s melodic vocals add a flair to the track that takes the song up a notch or ten.
Horne says of the track, “This is my favourite song to sing in our set. I can’t wait for people to hear this EP – we are almost done and it’s sounding a million bucks.” The band have worked for months in pre-production for the EP. An East Coast tour will follow mid-year.
