Every week a plethora of big name acts, Australian musicians and little-known musos drop brand spankin’ new tracks on the internet. We’ve trawled through the internet to find some of our favourites and plucked them from the masses.

This week we couldn’t go past Kasabian’s first taste of their new record, the pop banger from Röyksopp and Robyn’s forthcoming mini album, Kirin J Callinan’s K.D. Lang cover and Wave Racer’s Ryan Hemsworth remix amongst a few others.

Kasabian – Eez-Eh

When this track dropped on Tuesday the Leicester four-piece shocked everyone with their latest direction. “‘Eez-eh’ is the band’s first new release since 2011′s blockbuster Velociraptor! and sees the rockers focus upon a far dirtier dancefloor aesthetic, producing fat electronic samples and an infectious beat that’s virtually impossible not to move your feet to”. The band’s latest LP, 48:13, is set for release on the June 9.

Only Real – Cadillac Girl

Just in case you missed it we’ve already touted Niall Galvin as a future prospect to look out for. We tipped him as one of the 23 bands you must see at SXSW and earlier this week we called Cadillac Girl a mix between Mac DeMarco and King Krule. As our writer excitedly pointed out, “The summer-dream vibes floating on, Galvin reveals his ‘dragged through the gravel’ husk as he bellows “Oooh/She’s so over me/She’s so cold.””

Röyksopp & Robyn – Do It Again

How to make a great pop song: Put together the combined efforts of Norwegian duo Röyksopp on dance-floor bending beat making duties with Swedish singer Robyn’s effortless and affecting vocals and you get a Scandinavian powerhouse of a track. Sure this “accidental pop song” isn’t meant to be indicative of the mini album that’s out May 26th, but as fans of either of these acts would know when they team up together pop magic happens.

Sharon Van Etten  – Every Time The Sun Comes Up

This critical darling and New York singer-songwriter has given us plenty of reasons to despair in the past. Right from the beginning with her debut, Because I Was In Love to 2012’s incredible Tramp just about everything Van Etten does screams heartache. From what we’ve already heard of the album with this gem and ‘Taking Chances’ you can expect her fourth album, Are We There, out May 27th to be a further refinement and classically stark take on what Etten has provided thus far in her career.

Lowtide – Blue Movie

It would be easy to label this under the shoegaze and dream pop banner and recommend it. But then again that wouldn’t quite be doing the Melbourne quartet the justice they deserve. The dual vocals of Lucy Buckeridge and Giles Simon sift through the reverb heavy background in a way that’s entrancing beyond words. Keep an eye out for their self-titled debut, which drops on July 18.

Kirin J Callinan (Feat. Sophia Brous) – Constant Craving

The ever divisive and challenging Callinan continues to confound our expectations this time via a K.D Lang cover. What is unsurprising here is the aphotic and disturbing presence to the song that has defined Callinan thus far. The guest vocals of Sophia Brous add a warmer – yet no less menacing – touch to the atmosphere. We wouldn’t mind paying a penny for Lang’s thoughts on this rendition.

Joelistics – Everyone Everything

Yesterday we were lucky enough to premiere the video to Joelistics ‘Everyone Everything’ from his forthcoming record, Blue Volume, out June 20. Clearly we just can’t get enough of this track and as the man himself explains “It’s about everyone and everything and nothing and no one, trying to maintain the same content and spirit as the music”. If this is a sign of things to come then we’re in luck!

Popstrangers – Don’t Be Afraid

When this Auckland three-piece sing “don’t be afraid my love” on the new single from their forthcoming Fortuna record, it’s hard not to be. Sure the chorus that pertains that message is sprightly in its own right, but the menacing bass lines in the verses at either end don’t necessarily instil feelings of relief for the listener. But we digress, what we’re trying to say here is that Popstrangers’ latest track is pretty badass and definitely worth the listen.

Ryan Hemsworth – Ryan Must Be Destroyed (Wave Racer Remix)

Remixes can be a tricky business. If an artist gets it right you fall in love with the song all over again. If they get it wrong it’s like they’ve completely trashed a treasured possession of yours. Wave Racer has thankfully done the former. It’s a bit faster, a tad more layered yet just as incredible as the original.
